EASA
European Union Aviation Safety Agency — the EU authority that issues common rules for aircraft, pilots and aviation organisations.
EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) is headquartered in Cologne and has progressively taken over regulatory rule-making from national authorities since 2003. It publishes Part-FCL (pilot licensing), Part-145 (maintenance), Part-CAMO (continuing airworthiness), Part-ORA (ATO training organisations) and many others. EASA rules apply in the EU, EEA and Switzerland; national authorities (in the Czech Republic the CAA) enforce them.
