CPL(H)

Commercial Pilot Licence (Helicopter) — a professional licence for commercial helicopter operations. Allows flying for hire and reward.

CPL(H) is the EASA commercial helicopter pilot licence. It requires at least 155 flight hours (fewer on an integrated ab-initio course thanks to theory credit), a Class 1 medical, theoretical exams in 13 subjects, a skill test and English language proficiency (ICAO Level 4 or above). CPL(H) holders may act as PIC or co-pilot in all types of commercial helicopter operation that do not require ATPL(H). Full details are on our CPL(H) page.
