FIR

Flight Information Region — a defined airspace within which flight information and alerting services are provided.

An FIR (Flight Information Region) is the largest airspace unit. The Czech Republic has a single FIR — Prague FIR (LKAA) — covering the whole country from the ground up to FL660. Flight information service (FIS) and alerting service are provided throughout the FIR. Within it there are also controlled areas (CTA, CTR, TMA) where ATC operates.
