METAR
Meteorological Aerodrome Report — the routine weather report from an aerodrome. Issued every half hour (in the Czech Republic at HH+00 and HH+30).
METAR reports the observed weather at an aerodrome: wind (direction and speed), visibility (or CAVOK), current weather, cloud layers, temperature, dew point, QNH, and optionally a TREND. The format is standardised by ICAO. In addition to routine METARs a SPECI is issued on sudden change and TAF covers the forecast for 9–30 hours ahead. In the Czech Republic they are published by CHMI and ANS CR at aim.rlp.cz.
