Price and fair billing

FI(H) is an investment in your career that pays back with every teaching hour. With us you only pay for actual minutes in the air — including during instructor practice with the FIE. We'll prepare a tailored quote based on your entry qualifications.

During a full training course, the difference between per-minute and 6-minute billing adds up to tens of thousands of crowns. With us, you only pay for actual flight time.

Frequently asked

Do I need CPL(H) first?

For a standard FI(H) CPL(H) is most often required. In specific cases the path from PPL(H) is possible but with restrictions — we're happy to advise based on your situation.

What does an instructor actually do?

Runs flight lessons, evaluates students, prepares them for exams, and maintains their own qualifications and standards. At LionHeli instructors fly the Cabri G2 and are involved in PPL(H), CPL(H), night rating and type rating training.

Is FI(H) a good career path?

Yes. In the Czech Republic and Europe there's a long-term shortage of qualified helicopter instructors. FI(H) opens the door to flight school work and progression to SFI, TRI or examiner.

Can I become an instructor with you and then teach here?

Exactly. You can go the whole way from PPL(H) to FI(H) with us — and after earning the rating join our instructor team on the largest Cabri G2 fleet in the Czech Republic.
