The Lion Helicopters company with its home base at Hradec Králové Airport, which has trained a number of helicopter pilots of various levels (from private to business to air rescue service pilots and flight instructors) over its 10 years of operation, has become one of the ten founding members of the European network of leading helicopter schools, Leading Helicopter Academies (LHA).
With LHA, LION Helicopters clients can gain unique benefits, including a wide range of training conditions, an international environment and experience, as well as contacts and shared information on vacancies, both in pilot training and helicopter pilot career development .
The new grouping of leading European flight schools, which includes such names as the European Helicopter Center, Heli Austria Flight Academy or Mountainflyers, aims to provide those interested in flying a helicopter with a top-notch and comprehensive service through a joint fleet of 150 helicopters, 80 flight instructors and 22 bases for nearly 16,000 training hours per year across Europe.
To date, the founding members have trained more than 3,000 helicopter pilots, who are in growing demand across Europe. With LHA, trainees can benefit not only from shared expertise and experience, but also from different types of geographical environments and weather conditions for a wide range of training requirements and all pilot qualification levels.
"We are proud that, even as a small school, with our approach to training, we earned an invitation to become a founding member of this pioneering group," explains Jan Krčil, director of LION Helicopters, s.r.o., adding: "Knowledge and experience are in helicopter flying absolutely key, the opportunity to share them with the best, as well as satisfy the needs of even the most demanding clients and help them apply and further develop their acquired skills in the field, are the main advantages that we can provide to our clients thanks to LHA."
