Petr completed his first solo flight on a Cabri G2

Every pilot remembers their first solo flight for the rest of their life. It is the moment when the helicopter door closes behind them, the instructor stays on the ground and all responsibility shifts to the pilot. Petr Kuřák has now successfully reached this important milestone, completing his first solo flight on a Guimbal Cabri G2.

The road to a first solo flight is a long one. During training, the student has to demonstrate that they can safely handle the helicopter, make the right decisions in various situations and are ready to fly without the instructor's help. Only then comes the moment when the instructor confidently steps out of the cabin and the student takes off alone.

The first solo is not just another entry in the pilot logbook. It is a confirmation of the skills, discipline and responsible approach to flying that the student has acquired. At the same time, it is a significant step on the path to obtaining a pilot licence.

The training took place on the modern Guimbal Cabri G2, a helicopter designed from the outset as the ideal platform for pilot training. Thanks to its design, flight characteristics and strong focus on safety, it ranks among the most advanced piston training helicopters available today.

Congratulations to Petr on his successful first solo flight – we wish him many more safe hours in the air and look forward to the next stages of his journey towards a pilot licence.
