Your first pilot licence

PPL(H) (Private Pilot Licence — Helicopter) qualifies you to fly a helicopter non-commercially for yourself, family and friends. It is the standard entry licence for private flying and the first step towards a professional pilot career.

English at ICAO 4 for international flights (not required to obtain the licence)

The price covers the training itself according to the minimum syllabus. The final price depends on the pilot's experience, the number of hours required and related operational fees. Excluding VAT.

Training costs depend on the number of flight minutes and instructor time. We are currently offering a 7% discount on flight hours. We'll prepare a tailored quote — with us you only pay for actual minutes in flight, not from rotor spin-up.

During a full training course, the difference between per-minute and 6-minute billing adds up to tens of thousands of crowns. With us, you only pay for actual flight time.

Frequently asked

Do I have to fly exactly 45 hours?

45 hours is the legal minimum. The realistic average in our school is 50–60 flight hours — it depends on how quickly you master hovering and autorotation. Thanks to per-minute billing you don't pay extra for taxi and preparation.

Can I spread the training over time?

Yes. We schedule training around your availability. Ideally 1–2 lessons per week so skills don't fade. We don't force a strict start-to-finish schedule.

Does the 7% discount apply to the whole course?

Yes, the discount applies to flight hours during your PPL(H) training. Combined with per-minute billing, it saves you even more compared to schools that charge in 6-minute blocks.

What if I don't finish the licence?

Completed hours never disappear — you can continue later or transfer them to another school. We don't charge cancellation fees.

Do I need my own helicopter?

No. During and after training you can rent a Cabri G2 from us — again with per-minute billing.
