On 29 May 2024, Dan Griffith visited our base – one of the most experienced British pilots – and tried the Guimbal Cabri G2 with us for the first time. This modern two-seat helicopter expanded his already long collection of flown types.
Dan Griffith is globally known primarily as a pilot, flight instructor and ambassador for aviation. His career spans thousands of flight hours across a wide range of aircraft.
During his visit to LION Helicopters, Dan became acquainted with the Cabri G2 philosophy, modern Garmin avionics and the safety features that have made this type renowned in training. He was accompanied in the cockpit by our chief pilot Jan Krčil, who introduced him to the controls, flight characteristics and practical advantages of the aircraft in Czech conditions.
For our guest, the Guimbal Cabri G2 was another interesting addition to his rich experience. He particularly appreciated the clear avionics, the smooth running of the piston engine and the high level of safety that makes the Cabri G2 a popular aircraft for both training and recreational flying.
