Fair and transparent pricing

We bill only actual flight time

At LionHeli we bill flight time — the time the helicopter is actually in the air. You do not pay for engine warm-up, waiting for other traffic or cool-down after landing. That is a major difference for both training and rental compared to other operators.

Theoretical training

The foundation of safe and efficient flying. Conducted separately before practical flight training.

Pre / de-briefing

Pre-flight brief and post-flight debrief. Key teaching moments that take place outside flight time.

Block time

The full span from rotor start to rotor stop. We do not charge this as flight time. You log it in your own logbook.

Flight / tech time

The actual time in the air. Logged for flight hours and maintenance. This is what you pay for.

Flight timeline

You only pay for what actually flies.

Transparent. Fair. For helicopter rental we bill only flight time.

Comparison

Us vs. the market

Many operators bill block time from rotor start. Every flight you pay extra minutes spent on the ground. With us, you only pay for time in the air — and by individual minutes, not in full six-minute blocks.

What else do you pay for?

We believe the best relationship is built on clear terms. The price of a flight is transparent and reflects the operator's actual costs.

  • Helicopter rental is billed by flight time — only when you are actually flying.
  • Fuel at our home bases and contracted suppliers is included. When refuelling at another airport, we bill any price difference.
  • Landing, handling and navigation fees are charged according to actual usage.
  • Instructor supervision is billed by the actual time spent with you.
  • We do not charge any fuel surcharges or other hidden fees that would inflate your training or rental.

We do not charge for: engine warm-up, cool-down, waiting on the ground, administrative breaks.
